Sustainable Edinburgh 2020

Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 sets out the Council's vision for the sustainable development of the City to 2020. It details a framework for action which will be embedded into all Council policies, programmes and services; but recognises that, for the city to develop sustainably, a wider range of actions is required, involving all individuals, organisations and sectors of the city working together.

Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 is available in two versions: 

• Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 full colour version for viewing online
• Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 text-only version for printing (if required)

Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 Action Plan

On 27 March 2012, the Council's Corporate Policy and Strategy Committee approved an Action Plan to take forward the Council's vision for a Sustainable Edinburgh 2020.

Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 Annual Report

On 16 April 2013, the Council's Corporate Policy and Strategy Committee approved the first annual report detailing progress made on the commitments made under Sustainable Edinburgh 2020 and highlighting broader cross-Council work relating to sustainability.
