Find out how you can donate your items online. Items will be collected by a local organisation and reused.
Arrange an uplift of household items
You can ask us to collect up to 10 large household items, such as
- washing machines
- fridge freezers
that are broken or damaged and can't be reused. We sort all items for recycling where possible.
We charge £5 per item. If you complete our online form, we will phone you arrange payment and confirm a collection day.
Your items should be on the kerbside for collection by 7am on your booked day.

We charge £35 for 28 or fewer bags of garden waste, for example
- branches that have been bundled and secured
We will discuss the charge with you if you need more than 28 bags picked up.
It's £35 for 15 or fewer bags or items of building materials, for example
- paving slabs.
We will discuss the charge with you if you need more than 15 bags picked up.
Items we can't accept
We won't uplift the following items
- storage heaters
- household wheelie bins
- car tyres
- barbed wire
- spot welders
- gas cylinders
- garden poles with cement still attached
- oxygen cylinders
- cast iron baths
- asbestos or hazardous materials
- electric or manual wheelchairs
- fire extinguishers
- household waste
- food or sanitary products
- car batteries
- clinical waste or liquid waste, such as oil and paint.
Cancellations and changes to booked uplifts
You can only cancel or change booked uplifts up to 11:30am the day before your uplift is due. We only accept changes and cancellations by phone.
