The Local Transport Strategy 2007 - 2012
For the past five years the Council's transport projects, network maintenance and service provision have been guided by the Local Transport Strategy (LTS) 2007-2012, now extended to the end of 2013.
Many of the policies and objectives in the current LTS are still valid; however there are some areas where the Council's policy position needs to be updated, or faces a new choice. The Council is therefore drawing up a new five year policy document for 2014 - 2019.
This will be aligned with the Transport 2030 Vision as well as will the Council's Outcomes and Pledges.
Issues for Review
The 'Issues for Review' Report was the first stage in the preparation of the LTS. Its purpose was to seek views on ten issues where change is needed, or the Council faces a choice in future direction. These included
- Integrated Transport
- Supported Bus Services
- Speed limits
- School Streets
- Parking
- Air Quality
- Travel Planning
The Local Transport Strategy 2014 - 2019
