About Entente Florale
Following Edinburgh’s success in Britain in Bloom, Edinburgh was invited to represent the UK at the prestigious Entente Florale. Entente Florale is Europe’s largest environmental competition. The winners were announced on 26th September, and Edinburgh was awarded gold for excellence in landscape and horticulture, environment and tourism and involvement. The Grassmarket Community Project also won the special Lucija Cikes Prize for integration of disabled people in to society through green skills.
Over 22,000 cities, towns and villages enter Entente Florale across Europe.
