Get your Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

You could get a weekly allowance of £30 per week if you attend a school or you are on an activity agreement in the City of Edinburgh Council area.

If you are eligible, you can apply with us.

College students should contact their college to apply if they are eligible for an EMA.

You can download the application form and guidance notes below. Please read the guidance notes first as these will help you complete the form correctly.

You can fill in the form and return it to us by post or by email to

school.grants@edinburgh.gov.uk

You can scan and send your supporting evidence by email or send it to us by post.

You can ask for a paper copy of the form at your high school.
