Request a collection of household bulky waste items

If you have large items at home that you no longer need and are still in good condition, you can have them collected by an organisation listed on Scotland's Re-use Tool.

Donate your items

Items will be collected by a local organisation and re-used. Find out ways to re-use items.

Before you book an uplift

Our booking system will be switched off for maintenance on Sundays from 4am until 11am. It won't be possible to book an uplift between those times. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

There is a charge of £5 for each individual item uplifted, but you don’t need to pay if you or a member of the household receive Council Tax reduction. Please note that this doesn’t include people who receive other Council Tax discounts and exemptions, such as single occupancy discount.

Up to five items will be collected per uplift. We can only uplift domestic items, not commercial waste. Items should be able to be lifted by two people. If larger items need to be broken down, for example, a bed frame, headboard, mattress, etc. each piece counts as a separate item, and you need to pay for each one separately.

If you or a member of your household have Coronavirus symptoms, you should not book an uplift. If you have already booked an appointment, please cancel your booking and re-book once you are fit and well again.

Putting your items out for an uplift

You must put all items on the pavement in front of your property by 7am on the day of collection. You must not put them out at any other time. We will only collect the items you specified at the time of booking.
