Notice of Foot and Cycle Path Diverson - Leith Walk

Details of changes to the layout of the cycle lane and foot path on Leith Walk during November 2020

Location: West Side of Leith Walk between Pilrig Street and Dalmeny
Street

Timescale: November 2020

In order to allow for the construction of the new tram line and to continue ensuring access for
pedestrians / cyclists is maintained, there will be times where we have to temporarily extend
our workspace out on to the pedestrian foot way and cycle lane.

What are we doing?

There will be minor adjustments to the cycleway on Leith Walk between Pilrig Street and Dalmeny Street from Wednesday 25th November
for approximately 14 days. Pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted around the works using a suitable alternative
route with diversions in place. Signage will be installed in the local area to let
pedestrians and cyclists know about the diversion and the recommended route.

You can view a PDF map of the temporary layout of Leith Walk at this section during November 2020

How will this affect you?

As our works progress, we will need to occasionally temporarily adjust sections of our site
perimeter which will impact on the space available to pedestrian and cyclists on the foot and
cycle paths. However, we will look to progress works as quickly as possible to ensure that
minimal disruption is caused. To ensure optimum safety is maintained we ask that all
pedestrians and cyclists approach the area identified below with caution and care.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you have any questions about our works, please contact our contact centre on 0131322 11
