Additional Traffic Management Arrangements as of 5 October 2020

Weekly Traffic Management

Please find below a summary of additional traffic management arrangements to accommodate site investigations works and utility diversions outside the main area of works.

Traffic management arrangements for the main area of works are available to view and download.

 

Leith Walk

McDonald Road/Leith Walk junction - Road Closure

McDonald Road/Leith Walk junction remains closed to accommodate utility diversions. 


Manderston Street - Now Open

Site investigation works on Manderston Street are now complete and the road is open. 


McDonald Road - Remains Shut

McDonald Road remains closed to allow additional electrical utility works to take place.

Foot of the Walk - Newhaven

Foot of the Walk to Laurie Street - Footpath Closure

From Foot of the Walk to Laurie Street on the East side.  While these restrictions are in place alternative pedestrian routes will be clearly signposted and access to businesses will be maintained at all times


Queen Charlotte Street to Mitchell Street - Footpath Closure

Constitution Street from Queen Charlotte Street to Mitchell Street on the East Side to accommodate utility diversion works.  Pedestrian diversions will be in place and access to properties will be maintained at all times.


Maritime Lane - Road Closure

There will be no vehicle access to Maritime Lane from Mitchel Street from Saturday 26 September 2020 for approximately 2 weeks.  Deliveries to local business and residents will be maintained via the Mitchell Street logistics hub. 


Bernard Street/Baltic Street - Temporary Traffic Lights

Bernard Street/Baltic Street junction with Constitution Street is reduced to 1 lane controlled by temporary traffic lights to accommodate utility works.


Assembly Street - Footpath Closures

Access to Assembly Street is from Baltic Street to accommodate utility works.  Pedestrian diversions are in place.


Ocean DriveManually Controlled Traffic Management

These works were completed early. Previous manually controlled traffic management has been removed.
