London Road to Jane Street: Out of hours working and road closures

From Monday 14 November 2022 through to Friday 18 November 2022 there will be night-time works between London Road to Jane Street from the hours of 8pm to 5am. To accommodate these works Leith Walk will close to city-bound traffic between the Foot of The Walk and Balfour Street.
Access to Leith Walk southbound from Easter Road will be via:
- Dalmeny Street
- London Road
Entry and exit to Casselbank Street, Crown Street and Crown Place will be controlled from Foot of the Walk using traffic marshals. Entry and exit to Stead’s Place/Springfield Street, Smith Place and Jameson Place will be via Dalmeny Street and will also be controlled by traffic marshals.
In addition, there will be no vehicle access across the following junctions onto Leith Walk between the hours of 11pm and 1am:
- Balfour Street
- Pilrig Street
- McDonald Road
- Annandale Street
These closures are required to accommodate essential rail cleaning, installation of OLE wires and tensioning of the wires.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
