London Road junction and Constitution Street to re-open

The London Road junction at Leith Walk and Constitution Street between the Bernard / Baltic Street junction and Queen Charlotte Street are scheduled to re-open to vehicles on Saturday 12 November 2022

Please note as part of the London Road re-opening, vehicles will not be permitted to turn left off Leith Walk onto London Road once the junction re-opens as part of the final design. Vehicles will be able to turn right from Picardy Place onto London Road.

Works on the footways between Baxter’s Place and Blenheim Place will be completed early 2023 with further information available in due course.

Details of any changes to bus routes can be found on the Lothian Buses website.

In addition, over the course of w/c 14 November 2022, the section of Constitution Street between Queen Charlotte Street and the entrance to South Leith Parish Church will re-open to traffic with temporary traffic management arrangements in place by The Chop House in order to complete the installation of an OLE pole and reinstatement of a small section of the footway.

In order to install OLE poles onto the South Leith Parish Church (SLPC) wall and undertake remedial work on the tram tracks, Constitution Street will close to all vehicles from Laurie Street to the SLPC entrance.
