Overhead Line Equipment and Hard Landscaping Works - Queen Charlotte Street to Coatfield Lane

Update on construction works between Coatfield Lane and Queen Charlotte Street

In order to carry out a required Scottish Water diversion, the construction programme for the Coatfield Lane to Queen Charlotte Street section has changed from what was previously communicated on 20 July 2022

MUS is currently working on the water diversion on the west side of the street between the Port of Leith Housing Association headquarters and the entrance to St Mary's Star of the Sea. Once completed, SFN will complete works on the foundations for two OLE poles in this section and reinstate the footways.

MUS will then work on the water diversion between the entrance to St Mary's Star of the Sea and the Chop House. In order to facilitate these works, the current pedestrian crossing with move south. Once completed, SFN will undertake works on the foundation of one OLE pole in this section before reinstating the footways. SFN will continue footways works towards Queen Charlotte Street and round the corner to Queen Charlotte Street Lane.

SFN will also continue footpath works on the east site on Queen Charlotte Street to John's Lane and heading south towards Coatfield Lane.
