Traffic Management Changes at Laurie Street

Find our more about the upcoming traffic management changes at Laurie Street.

From Monday 6 December the site boundaries and access road at Laurie Street will be moved south to progress tram infrastructure works. Parking restrictions associated with the project temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) will also be implemented on Laurie Street.

The works will include excavation of the site to enable drainage and ducting works, followed by the installation of track slab. These works are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Localised vehicular access, including deliveries for businesses, will continue to be maintained during these works. Pedestrian access will also be maintained along Constitution Street via the east footway for the duration of these works.

TTRO parking enforcement will commence on the south side Laurie Street to accommodate the works. Waste bins will be moved to the north side of Laurie Street. The City of Edinburgh’s parking enforcement teams will monitor these new arrangements.

The closest logistics hub to these works is located between Jane Street and Stead’s Place and wil continue to assist businesses and residents with deliveries and dispatches.
