Notification of Temporary Closure of North Leith Sands Junction
More details of the upcoming North Leith Sands road closure.
We will be to carrying out utility connections across the North Leith Sands junction and the access to Portland Gardens Development. These works are essential to accommodate mains power connections to the new tram substation recently installed within the live construction site on Melrose Drive.
This will require a temporary road closure at the junction of Melrose Drive with North Leith Sands. As well as construction works being undertaken across the access of the entrance to the Portland Gardens residential area. Localised access will be maintained throughout these work.

Buses will be diverted via Melrose Drive/Ocean Drive. Visit the Lothian Buses website for more details on specific service diversions.
These works will start on Tuesday 7 Septemeber 2021 and are expected to last up to three days.
