Notification of Temporary Parking Restriction at Elm Row

These works have now been cancelled and are not required to be undertaken.

As part of the works being undertaken on the Trams to Newhaven project, we are required to carry out ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys in the cobbled area on Elm Row. 

To facilitate these works we are required to temporarily restrict parking to the East side of the cobbled area on Elm Row. There will be localised traffic management arrangements installed to facilitate these works. Vehicle access through Elm Row will be maintained, with the possibility of some minor delays.

When are we doing it? 

Works are scheduled to be commence on Monday 12 April 2021. These works are estimated to last approximately 5 days, which will be weather permitting.  

Please note that parking restrictions will apply during working hours (7am to 6pm). During the time that the above works are being undertaken, all efforts will be made to minimise disruption and inconvenience caused to residents and businesses as much as possible.
