Notification of Mitchell Street Closure
We will be closing Mitchell Street on Wednesday 7 April.
UPDATE: This closure will now be in place until late August / early September to allow hard lanscpaing and public realm works.
On Wednesday 7 April 2021 we will be closing vehicle access to Maritime Lane from Mitchell Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
This closure is to allow the laying of tracks across the junction and these works are expected to take 10 weeks.
A temporary pedestrian walkway connecting both sides of the street between Queen Charlotte Street and Mitchell Street / Maritime Lane will be created over the coming week.
Deliveries to local businesses and residents will be maintained via our Mitchell Street Logistics Hub.
