Walker Street North
As part of the Melville Crescent works, we wanted to update all Walker Street North residents and businesses that the street will closed from 24 April for about nine months.
We will place our construction compound on one side of the street to support the nearby work. Unfortunately, the street is not wide enough to house the compound and required plant traffic whilst safely maintaining parking, so a full closure is needed.
We appreciate that this will be disruptive, but if you need access for larger deliveries or home moves, please email us with plenty of notice so we can support you: ccwel@edinburgh.gov.uk
Reminder of full road closures and traffic restrictions
Walker Street North will be closed and Walker Street South, from William Street to Melville Street, will be one way for northbound traffic only. A three- way traffic control will be in place on Melville Street.
