A8 and Haymarket Yards junction - resurfacing
We are planning to carry out road resurfacing on the A8 and the Haymarket Yards junction. The work will be in two phases throughout September.
Phase 1 will take place during the first 2 weeks of the month and consists of alterations to traffic islands and resurfacing of the bus stop outside Haymarket Train Station. The bus stop will be relocated temporarily to the west of the Haymarket Yards Junction during this 2-week phase.
Phase 1 traffic management and designs
Phase 2 will be overnight and include resurfacing the Haymarket Yards junction and a section of the A8 up to Coates Crescent. Work will start at 7.30pm and run to 5am from Monday 18 September to Friday 22 September.
Phase 2 traffic management and designs
We need to work overnight so that Haymarket Yards Road is open during the day for trams.
Access restrictions
From Monday 18 September to Friday 22 September, access will be limited to vehicles using the Haymarket Yards road from 10.30pm to 5am. If you need access outside of these times, contact us at ccwel@edinburgh.gov.uk. Emergency services will have access at all times.
