Queen Street and North St David Street - Street Lighting and Line Marking
We are nearing the end of our main roadworks on the CCWEL project. The final works involve some road marking and street lighting changes on Queen St and North St David’s St.
These works will take place overnight between 24 – 28 July. Works will start at 6.30 pm each night with the set up of localised traffic management and pedestrian footway closures. The electrical and lining works are generally fairly quiet but there will be some road marking burn off, drilling and cutting works for short periods of time before 11 pm.
Working with you to reduce disruption
The date and timing of the work has been chosen to take place before the city gets busier with the summer festivals. Unfortunately these works cannot be done during the day as we need close off sections of footways and roads. We will work to reduce disruption as much as possible during the works. The Council’s Environmental Health Team are aware of our plans and every effort will be made to minimise noise during the night.
