Magdala Crescent Closure and Diversion, 17-18 June
We have been working closely with Scottish Water to monitor an ongoing issue with a water pipe on Magdala Crescent.
Water main repair – Magdala Crescent
In late April 2023, Scottish Water identified and then repaired a water pipe on Magdala Crescent at the junction between West Coates and Haymarket Terrace. Unfortunately, an additional repair is needed and work on this is scheduled for Saturday 17 June and Sunday 18 June 2023.
While the work is carried out, we need to close Magdala Crescent at the junction between West Coates and Haymarket Terrace, with a diversion for all city centre bound traffic.
The diversion for all traffic will be via Murrayfield Road, Ravelston Dykes and Queensferry Street. As such there will be no eastbound buses between Murrayfield Road and Haymarket while the works are ongoing.
Local access will be available to either side of the work, which includes access along the A8 from Murrayfield Road towards Haymarket Terrace, and along Magdala Crescent to the closure point. We will close the junction from 6am on Saturday morning (17 June) until 6pm on Sunday (18 June).
