Annual leave and public holidays

Teachers

The annual leave entitlement for full time employees working a standard 35 hour week in a school is

  • 30 days plus 10 public holidays.

Part-time employees

Annual leave entitlement will be pro-rated based on the values above. 

Public holidays 

There are 10 days fixed public holidays:

  • Christmas day and Boxing day 
  • New Year's day and 2 January 
  • Spring holiday in April 
  • Good Friday and Easter Monday 
  • May day and Victoria day in May 
  • Autumn holiday in September.
