This Council, as your employer, supports the system of collective bargaining and believes in the principle of resolving industrial relations issues by discussion and agreement. You have the right to join a trade union and to take part in its activities and the Council encourages you to do so.

How to join
The simplest way to sign up is to go to the union's website for further details or talk to your workplace representative once you start.
You can pay your union membership fee by direct deduction from your wages or alternatively by Direct Debit.
