Trams to Newhaven consultation now live

Our six-week public consultation inviting feedback from residents, businesses and a wide range of stakeholders is now live on the Council’s Consultation Hub.

Our six-week public consultation inviting feedback from residents, businesses and a wide range of stakeholders is now live on the Council’s Consultation Hub.

Transport Convener Councillor Lesley Macinnes said: “Today [Mon 19 March) is the first day in our major six-week consultation to find out what people make of the plans we’ve developed if a decision is taken later this year to take trams down to Newhaven. We want to hear feedback on all aspects of the plans, from how traffic might be managed and how we’d support local businesses during construction to what the road layout could look like along the route. As with the cycle safety consultation about proposed improvements to the existing tram route which we launched last Wednesday [14 March], we’re listening very carefully. We need to hear from as many people as possible to help us get this right, so make sure you have your say.

“Give us your views online via our Consultation Hub or come along to one of four public information events being held over the coming weeks – the first one is on Thursday (22 March) at Leith Theatre, from 11am to 6pm.”
