Setting up a myjobscotland account
- To set up a myjobscotland account, you'll need internet access and an email account to receive application responses.
- Go to myjobscotland.
- Click on the 'Login / register' button and follow the instructions to create a new account.
- Once you've created an account and logged in, press the 'Apply' button and complete the shortened application for this role, this will be:
- your personal details
- your preferred service area and
- the role that suits you best.
Please remember to keep your email address and contact number up-to-date through the My Account section (My Personal Details) as these will be used for future communication during the matching process.
You’ll be given appropriate training. We won’t ask you to do a part of the role you haven’t received the right training for.
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
We will provide you with the correct PPE to undertake the role.
Underlying health conditions
As these are front-line roles, colleagues with underlying health conditions, covered by the Government and NHS guidance on social distancing, should not apply. We may have other roles which you’ll be able to support from home soon.
We’re looking for colleagues to apply for roles on or below their current grade / salary; we’re not looking to promote colleagues into acting-up roles. If you apply for a lower graded role, you be paid your normal salary.
Duration of roles
Initially we’re looking for you to commit to 31 May 2020 and then we’ll review the situation.
If you have annual leave booked you should take it, however, speak to the service you’re joining. We’re encouraging all colleagues to continue to take leave during this period.
Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership
If you have either a Child or Adult PVG with us, then you can still note your interest in a regulated role such as home care.
We’ll only put people into regulated work who have a PVG. Please still apply online and we’ll talk through all the options with you.
If the role you move to meets the key worker status, then for the length of time you undertake the role we’ll designate you as a key worker.
