Edinburgh's Employer Recruitment Incentive (EERI)

Funding for employers

We have secured a limited amount of funding through the Scottish Governments No One Left Behind 2020/2021 funding stream and are offering this to employers under the work of The Edinburgh Guarantee. The fund aims to support unemployed people with the greatest barriers to employment to find meaningful jobs, including Modern Apprenticeships (MAs). This funding replaced the Scottish Employer Recruitment Incentive (SERI) and is now known as No One Left Behind 2020/2021 - Edinburgh Employer Recruitment Incentive (EERI 2).

Fund offer

The fund offers an employer a tiered grant amount of up to £6,000 over a period of 52 weeks to private employers and third sector organisations.  This is based on the hourly rate of pay and contracted hours for each employee.

Due to the limited amount of funding available we deal with applications on a 'first come first served' basis.

The individual you intend to employ has to meet the eligibility criteria. They must have been unemployed before taking up employment with you and have two or more of the barriers listed.

If the employee has started employment with you prior to us giving you a grant acceptance letter they will not be eligible for funding. Our decision is based on the content of your application.
