Apply for a Roman Catholic catchment school place form

You can complete this form without registering or signing in.

This form will time out if you spend more than 10 minutes on a page.

Before you start

Use this form to

  • apply for a place in your catchment Roman Catholic school in S1 starting in August 2022
  • tell us about exceptional reasons for requesting a place in P1 which will be considered in the event the school is oversubscribed. You must also register your child for P1 separately.

If you want to apply for a Roman Catholic school in a different catchment area, use the placing request form.

Check your catchment school first

You can check on our catchment map (opens in a new tab).

Read the Placing in Schools guide. Section five covers Roman Catholic schools and how we allocate places.

We ask your reasons for applying. It may help to type these in a word processor before you start, then copy and paste the text into the form.

You can upload documents to provide evidence supporting your application. You may want to scan documents before you start the form. This may include

  • reports by medical, healthcare or social work professionals
  • information about your child’s additional support needs such as minutes from child planning meeting.

PDF files are best for scanned documents. If you upload photographs or screenshots the max file size is 1MB.

If you are unable to upload any of the required documents, you should still complete the form. You can send them to us later.

Decision on your request

We’ll send you a letter to tell you our decision on your request. When you receive your decision letter depends on when you send your request:

  • Requests received between 25 December 2021 and 15 March 2022 will be notified before the end of April 2022.
