Latest progress
Over a number of years, we have been consulting residents, businesses and key city partners on three city centre transformation projects, which will connect Roseburn to Leith Walk and the Meadows.
They will provide an easier and safer route for walking, wheeling and cycling across the city centre as well as create great public spaces for people to gather, rest and enjoy the views. Work on CCWEL is well underway and construction is planned to start in 2024 on George Street and Meadows to George Street.
