Let us perform your unique personalised civil ceremony at your chosen venue.
Civil ceremonies have changed in recent years and no longer require to be held within a registrar's office.
Registrars can perform ceremonies in a range of venues, from city centre hotels to your parent's lawn, from favourite restaurants to luxury apartments. You can choose to have your ceremony in your local community centre or a much-loved tourist site so long as it sits within Edinburgh.
All our registrars are experienced and happy to offer help and advice with wording for your ceremony. We encourage couples to fully personalise their ceremonies and make it special for them.

On the day the registrar will be at your chosen venue 30 minutes before your ceremony. They are fully briefed on your personalised ceremony in advance. Our registrars are extremely friendly, helpful and practiced at making the most nervous couple feel at ease.

Once you have booked please enquire with our team about six months before your special day if you wish to meet with your registrar – a small fee will apply.
You will need to make yourself aware of the legal requirements for marriage and civil partnership in Scotland and appointment to lodge
