Re-using the Council’s Information

Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015

The 2015 Regulations will apply if you have been provided with information by the council and want to re-use that information for a different purpose. Obtaining information under FOI or EIR does not provide you with an automatic right to re-use that information. You must still apply for permission to re-use under the regulations.

Information available through the Council's Open Data Portal is offered under the Open Government Licence

Cost

The Open Government Licence allows re-use of information without charge for any purpose with minimal conditions. Information provided under other licences may be chargeable.

Any costs will be levied based on a reasonable rate of return for the re-use of the information. We will keep you  informed of costs at the time of the application. Additional charges may be made for costs of reproduction, provision and dissemination of documents.
