Summer reading challenge for children

This year's Summer Reading Challenge is Wild World Heroes, a celebration of nature and action for the environment.Wild World Heroes logo

Children can join the fun online or visit one of our reopened libraries to register and take part. We invite children aged 4 to 11 to take up the challenge of reading six books during the summer holidays.

The Summer Reading Challenge launches online on Saturday 19 June and in our reopened Edinburgh Libraries from Friday 25 June, finishing on Thursday 30 September.

You can include library ebooks and audiobooks from our Library2go service in the challenge. Complete all six books to receive a finisher's medal and certificate.

Wild World Heroes is brought to you by Edinburgh Libraries and The Reading Agency.
