Equality and Rights Impact Assessment
A Framework to Advance Equality and Rights 2012 - 2017 describes the Council's approach to equality and rights impact assessment (ERIA) and the managerial responsibilities for undertaking this work. This approach includes sections on the Public sector equality duty within the Equality Act 2010 as well as a new section to assess rights covering children's rights and human rights.
Equality and rights impact assessment should:
- inform the development of all new and revised policies and services
- inform the decisions taken by elected members Published Equality and Rights Impact Assessments are in the download sections on this page. Prior to the introduction of the Framework, our impact assessment approach did not include a rights section.
