Local Development Plan timetable and engagement

A Development Plan Scheme sets out the programme for preparing a Local Development Plan.  The last one was published in May 2016 and can be downloaded below. The next one is due to be reported and published in August 2017, when the next meeting of the Planning Committee is due to take place.

Edinburgh Local Development Plan (LDP 2)

Councils are required to review their LDP at least every five years. The next Edinburgh Local Development Plan (LDP 2) will need to be consistent with the regional South East Scotland Development Plan 2 (SDP 2). Accordingly, the timetable for LDP 2 will take account of the timetable for SDP 2, as well as a recommendation that there be an early review of the LDP.

In November 2016, the Council adopted the Edinburgh Local Development Plan.
