Health in Mind runs these friendly peer-led support groups for any adults affected by depression, low mood, stress or anxiety. Different groups are available on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Keep Yourself Well
A 7-week course where individuals meet in a supportive group, where they can develop their own personalized ‘Keep Well’ plan to understand themselves and their well-being needs better. Sessions are held in the City Centre on Wednesday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm starting from Wednesday 15th May.

Health All Round
Health All Round supports people living in Gorgie Dalry, Saughton, Stenhouse and surrounding areas using a community development approach to provide services focusing on physical, social and emotional wellbeing. The service offers several services for adults in South West Edinburgh such as 1-1 counselling, CBT, complementary therapies, anxiety management, sleep well and managing anger and irritability and well-being for men courses. Coping with ADHD
A 5-week course for individuals who have or are waiting on a diagnosis of ADHD, or people who experience symptoms. This course will look at ADHD and how it affects mental health and well-being. The course looks at some self-help techniques and encourages peer support and discussion in a group setting with people who might have similar experiences.

Held in Our Hearts
Held in our hearts free counselling service is available for bereaved parents. Counsellors are available to offer specialist baby bereavement counselling for families. There are in-person and online counselling sessions available. Support is also available to men individually or as part of a couple in the form of peer support either in person or remotely, support groups, counselling and through a men’s WhatsApp group.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre Counselling Service in Leith
This counselling service is available for mothers, and trans and non-binary parents who live in Leith and have a child not yet in school. Sessions are suitable for those who have experienced rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse at any time in their life. Up to 6 one to one counselling support sessions can be offered with a free creche place at Dr Bells Family Centre.

Sunflower Gardens
Sunflower Gardens offers support to children aged five to 18 years based in Edinburgh who are affected by drug and/ or alcohol use within their family. Children and young people benefit from having a safe and confidential space where they can explore their emotions, thoughts and feelings whilst developing positive coping strategies. The service offers counselling (including art and play therapy), 1-1 therapeutic support and group work. Referrals are accepted from parents or professionals.
