The Council has sheltered housing across Edinburgh, mainly one bedroom homes. Many of them are adapted for people with disabilities. Each house comes with a built in alarm system, including inactivity monitoring. Some of the sheltered housing complexes have community rooms, laundry facilities or guest rooms for use by customers, their family or carers.Sheltered housing is allocated based on individual needs; there is no age barrier but you should need the support or the alarm system to be considered.
