Edinburgh Choices - Caledonian Domestic Abuse Group Work Programme
|Name||Caledonian Domestic Abuse Group Work Programme|
The service aims to challenge the behaviour and attitudes of men convicted of domestic violence offences through an extended programme of individual and group sessions. It also provides support service for their partners or ex-partners.
The first part of the programme is 14 one to one meetings with your worker. After this you will join a group for 26 weekly meetings. The programme helps you understand why you have been abusive and helps you to learn new ways of thinking about things, and new ways of behaving. They also have a women's service. Your partner or ex partner can decide if she wants to meet with a worker from the women's service. They do not work with men and women together as couples.
