Register for a Council or housing association home

EdIndex

EdIndex is a partnership between the Council and 19 housing associations in Edinburgh.  You only need to complete one application form and you can bid for a home provided by some of the EdIndex landlords through Key to Choice (link)

To bid for a Council or Housing Association home in Edinburgh you must register with EdIndex by completing the application form.

How to get an application form

You can download the application form using the link below.

Download the EdIndex application form (PDF 301 KB)

Or you can contact us at [email protected] and we can e-mail you an electronic version of the form or post one out to you.  You can also return the completed form to us by e-mail or post it back to us.  If you are posting it back you must put on the correct postage - £1.40 second class.

Unfortunately, landlord offices are closed just now due to the COVID-19 emergency so you cannot pick up a form from an office or return it.

What happens next?

Once we have registered your application, usually within 5 working days, we will send you a letter with your EdIndex Reference Number with advice on what to do next.  You will need your EdIndex Reference Number and a current e-mail address to bid on Key to Choice.
