Guidelines for digital learning
Office 365 is what we use for staff and learners in schools. Many students already use it. The school website will let you know if your child should use this to get their learning materials.
You can get access to Office 365 through a browser and through Microsoft apps like Teams, OneNote, Word etc. Students who need access should
- log in through a browser using the link on the Digital Learning Team website
- go to the learners menu
- click on Office 365 login.
To log in, students need their Scottish Candidate Number which is a nine-digit number and password. Both are give to them by the school.
To log in through apps on mobile devices, there’s an extra step at the beginning of the process. You’ll be prompted to sign in using your work, school, or Microsoft account. Students must enter
- [email protected]. For example: [email protected]
- enter their Scottish Candidate Number and password in the usual way.
For issues with usernames and passwords or questions on how to use Office 365, please contact your school using their admin email address.
What to do if you have a question or concern
If you’ve any issue related to your child’s learning that you’d like help with, please contact your school through their admin email address. If you don’t know it, you should be able to find it on the school website.
Help and advice for families in a digital world
We encourage our pupils to make sure they stay safe online. The Digital Learning team website has a section for parents / carers. You’ll find a range of resources to support you with the online safety of your child. There’s also a range of interactive resources for pupils within the learners section of the website.
The UK Safer Internet Centre has lots of useful resources and tools for parents or carers to keep children and young people safe and happy online.
