COVID-19 community testing for people with no COVID-19 symptoms

Support for people self-isolating

If you do not have anyone that can help with food or medicine, contact our team on

edinburghvulnerable@edinburgh.gov.uk

If you test positive on or after 1 May the public health guidance advises you to stay at home for 5 days. You will not need to self-isolate for 10 days.

From 1 May the Scottish Government is providing a grant of £225.

If you are a low paid worker, the grant can help cover lost earnings if:

  • you have a positive PCR test
  • someone you need to care for has a positive PCR test

Find out more and apply for the grant.

Volunteer Edinburgh's Community Taskforce has fully trained and insured volunteers who can help anyone who needs short term support with practical tasks such as shopping, pet care, dog walking or small gardening tasks. If you or someone you know needs help, you can find out more on their Action for Help web pages.

If you need access to money or food urgently, please apply to the Scottish Welfare Fund. Find out how to apply for the Scottish Welfare Fund and if you are eligible,
