Venues

Our City Art Centre reopened on Saturday 12 September with two new exhibitions - City Art Centre at 40: Highlights from the City’s Art Collection and Bright Shadows: Scottish Art in the 1920s.  Find out how to pre-book.

All of our other museums and galleries remain closed, including The Museum of Edinburgh, Museum of Childhood, The People’s Story, The Writers’ Museum, Queensferry Museum, Lauriston Castle, Scott Monument and Nelson Monument.

We don’t have dates for reopening but are working through options in line with Scottish Government guidelines when they are issued.

The Usher Hall, Assembly RoomsChurch Hill Theatre and Ross Bandstand remain closed.

Events and classes

All our community-based Adult Learning classes are cancelled until further notice. This includes ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), Family Learning, Outlook, all Literacy/Numeracy classes including those for deaf learners and English classes for Syrian refugees.

All our Active School extracurricular clubs are cancelled until further notice.
