Coronavirus January Business Support Top Up – Hospitality and Leisure

This fund will provide support to businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors who are impacted by the restrictions introduced from 27 December 2021 where they are registered as one of the following.
- public houses
- other licensed premises classed as hospitality
- hotels with bars and restaurants
- conference centres
- music venues
- arts facilities
- sports facilities
- leisure centres
- outdoor centres
- amusement and recreation businesses
- soft play
- snooker clubs
Any business not classed as one of the above will not be eligible for this funding. Large event/ sport/ football stadiums, museums and historic sites are not eligible.
The funding is made up of a one-off payment at the rate of
For hospitality businesses
- £1,400 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000 or
- £2,100 for premises have a rateable value of £51,001 or above
For leisure businesses
- £2,100 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000 or
- £3,150 for premises have a rateable value of £51,001 or above
Please note that we have not administered an application process for this fund.
For new businesses, the application process has been carried out by Scottish Government. You will find more information about funding for businesses affected by Omicron control measures on their website.
We will contact eligible businesses to confirm additional information required to progress payment. Eligibility will be determined from the data we hold from previous business grant schemes for the hospitality and leisure sectors.

The January Business Support Top Up – Hospitality and Leisure fund will close for applications on 31 January 2022. The scheme will also close for appeals on 31 March 2022. No new appeals received after this date will be considered.
