Advice for businesses opening during COVID-19

Advice for businesses opening during coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update 10 August 2021

On 9 August 2021 Edinburgh moved to beyond Level Zero of the Coronavirus Protection Levels framework to operate under a range of COVID baseline measures, along with the rest of Scotland.

This guide provides information to ensure businesses in Edinburgh comply with Scottish Government regulations and guidance as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As businesses adapt to operating post-lockdown, everyone has their part to play in stopping the spread of the coronavirus.

Which businesses can open

Businesses should follow Scottish Government guidance on which businesses can open to the public. Refer to the Scottish Government route map out of lockdown for advice.

Businesses should be aware that the easing of lockdown restrictions remains under constant review and is subject to the continued suppression of the coronavirus.
