Working in a small team, in a convenience food store environment.
What might a day in this role look like?
Our Branch Supervisors are an essential part of the store management team, sharing responsibility for a number of key areas throughout the store and deputising for the Store Manager and Senior Team Leader in their absence. With a natural flair for teamwork, Branch Supervisors enjoy taking responsibility and are confident in thinking on their feet to resolve a variety of everyday challenges - all with a positive outlook while maintaining great customer and colleague relations.
You will be a key-holder, often opening or closing the store, and be hands-on in ensuring store standards are second to none and that the store is safe and legal. You will motivate the customer service team to provide a professional, friendly and enthusiastic service at all times, leading by example on food preparation and service, food safety, stock management and customer service.
What will I learn?
Teamwork, customer service, merchandising skills, cash handling, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Alcohol Licensing regulations, leading and managing people.
What qualifications/skills are required?
- Must be over 18 due to Scottish Licensing laws
- Must be able to successfully complete Post Office Limited’s security and background checking processes (if the store has a PO counter)
- Enthusiasm, a passion for customer service, and excellent communication skills.
