Working in a small team, in a convenience food store environment.
What might a day in this role look like?
No two days are the same and our Customer Service Assistants enjoy working at a fast pace, doing a variety of tasks from making breakfast rolls to helping a customer post a parcel at our Post Office counter, if the store has one. Your priority is making sure our customers have a great experience each and every time they visit the store, through friendly service, great product availability, and first class hygiene standards.
You may be required to prepare and serve various products which could include raw and cooked meat, alcohol and foods containing allergens. You will also be on your feet for long periods of time, and many of our roles will involve some lifting, carrying and other tasks such as stock merchandising and cleaning.
What will I learn?
Teamwork, customer service, merchandising skills, cash handling, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Alcohol Licensing regulations.
What qualifications/skills are required?
Enthusiasm, a passion for customer service, and excellent communication skills.
