Adviser Service

Our Adviser service is a one-to-one, confidential service offered to eligible parents and carers to support them into employment or training. Through offering practical advice our aim is to assist parents/carers make decisions which are right for them.

We have a team of advisers located across the City of Edinburgh which allows us to provide our range of services close to where our clients live. Where available we can arrange for children to attend crèche facilities while we meet with their parents.

Advisers offer:

Information and guidance on training opportunities and applications; costs related to travel,
interviews and work placements advice, support and funding for childcare
access to funding for training opportunities
job related advice, support and funding and help with tax credit applications.

We can offer support to parents/carers who are:

In a low-income household whether employed or unemployed
who have stresses or difficulties which are stopping them from getting the job or training they want
lone parents who needs support prior to taking up New Deal.
