Leith Chooses 2023 - 2024
Overview
£eith Chooses is a process of democratic deliberation and decision-making in which local people choose how to spend a public budget (participatory budgeting, or ‘PB’).
If you live, work, study or volunteer in Leith please take time to consider the projects, and be sure to vote. You can cast your votes online by clicking on the link in the purple-bordered box below. You can also vote at the in-person event on the 27th January at Leith Community Centre from 11am-3pm.
Grants of up to £5,000 will be awarded from a total of £52,000. These grants are for small, one-off projects that meet urgent needs and progress local priorities.
The projects address this year’s theme, People Make Leith.
Voting is open from 22 January until the end of 5th February 2024. You can review the projects here from 2nd January 2024.

From 27 Jan 2024 at 11:00 to 27 Jan 2024 at 15:00Come along to Leith Community Centre and visit the amazing organisations applying for Leith Chooses funding. You can find out more, cast some votes and enjoy a fun community day, come along and bring all your friends and family.
Everyone who lives, works, studies or volunteers in Leith is entitled to vote.
