Dementia Cafe Events

Have you been diagnosed with dementia?  Do you know someone who has? Perhaps you are worried about your memory?

Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be a frightening time both for the person with dementia and for their families and friends. The causes of dementia remain largely unknown, and although age is a factor anyone can be diagnosed.

The good news is there are lots of support available for people in Edinburgh with dementia and the people who care for them. Come along to one of our drop in cafes to find out more. There will be people on hand to chat you to about dementia, and to help you find groups and services that can help you enjoy life. You can drop in any time between 10am and 4pm and have a cuppa, a scone and a good natter! The dates and venues are:

· Monday 18 September – Newington Library, 17 Fountainhall Rd, Edinburgh EH9 2LN

· Tuesday 19 September – Portobello Library, 14 Rosefield Avenue, Edinburgh EH15 1AU

· Wednesday 20 September – Wester Hailes Library, 1 Westside Plaza, Edinburgh EH14 2ST

· Thursday 21 September – Blackhall Library, 56 Hillhouse Rd, Edinburgh EH4 5EG.
