The Rural West Edinburgh Local Plan (RWELP) was adopted by the Council on 1 June 2006.

The Rural West Edinburgh Local Plan Alteration was adopted by the Council on 2 June 2011.

Where can I view the local plan?

The local plan consists of a written statement, setting out the Council's planning and development objectives, policies and proposals, and a Proposals Map.

You can view the Rural West Edinburgh local plan online. This is the composite version of the adopted RWELP which incorporates the 2011 Alteration (please note: the interactive map is only compatible with Internet Explorer at the moment).

You can download the Rural West Edinburgh Local Plan Action Plan (Aug 2010) which accompanies this local plan. This identifies the essential infrastructure required to service the major strategic allocations. This may be viewed using the link below.
