Donation Scheme

The Pentland Hills Regional Park cover an area of 10, 000 hectares with over 100km (62 miles) of paths. Approximately 600, 000 visitors enjoy recreating in the park every year; walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing to name but a few of the recreational activities.

The Donation Scheme is a simple way for people to put something back into the Regional Park. The scheme allows people to make a general donation for environmental improvements within the Regional Park.

How you donation will be used

All funds raised are used only for new 'added value' projects on the ground and not for the day to day running of the Service.

How to donate

To donate to the Pentland Hills Regional Park Donation Scheme, you must complete a donation scheme form and either hand it in or send it to the Regional Park Headquaters along with your donation.

Completed Projects

  • 500 copies of the 'Horse Riding in the Pentland Hills Regional Park' leaflet (2010)
  • A new recycled plastic seat for the Flotterstone Glen (2011)
  • Upgrade of steps leading to Torduff Reservoir from Bonaly Country Park (2012)
