Severe weather update - Schools and Children & Families services

All but a few Edinburgh schools are to open fully on Friday. With schools getting back to normal we are now very keen that all pupils should make every effort to attend.
Home to School contract bus companies will provide transport for registered students. This is of course subject to change if the weather impacts on the service.
Lunches will be provided in all schools.
The Current Situation:
Secondary Schools
All secondary schools are set to open for S1-6 on Friday except the following:
Liberton High - open to S3-S6 pupils on Friday - if your child is not attending (with exception S1-2), you should notify the school. All Liberton pupils should attend on Monday 13 December.
Primary Schools
The following schools will be closed:
Murrayburn Primary
The following schools will open but please note:
Ratho - nursery will be run from the school. Parents should bring their child to reception
Roseburn Primary - no nursery class
St John Vianney - no nursery class, no breakfast club
Special Schools
All special schools will open as normal with transport in place.
Nursery schools and Child & Family Centres
All open except Kirkliston which will be closed.
Community Centres
All open except Kirkliston which will remain closed.
Adult Education
Daytime adult education classes and those delivered in community centres in the evening are operating normally. Evening classes in schools are cancelled for the remainder of the week.
Adult education will operate as normal from next week. Keep an eye on programme details on the adult education website.
School lets
Secondary school lets are now operating as normal.
Primary school lets are cancelled until next week.
Other information
East Craigs after school club will be based at East Craigs Primary until further notice. Parents should collect children by 4.30pm (4.00pm Fri). See club website for further info.
