Tollcross Primary School and Nursery to re-open next week

Tollcross Primary School and Nursery will re-open on Tuesday 17th September to all pupils.

This follows extensive assessment by building control professionals and external surveyors. In order to allow the school to re-open a section of the building has been cordoned off so remediation work can take place on the affected tenement building. This means that Primary 6 pupils will have their lessons at neighbouring Dalry Primary School for a limited period.

All pupils, including P6, should attend Tollcross Primary School, on Tuesday 17 September with entry via the Ponton Street entrance. Arrangements will be made for P6 pupils to be escorted to and from Dalry Primary School where they will be taught by their own class teachers.

Both the Breakfast Club and After School Club will operate from next week in the main school building.

The Community Centre remains closed as it is within the safety cordon and arrangements are being made to re-schedule and relocate lets where possible.

The Council would like to express its sincere thanks to parents, carers and the wider Tollcross Primary School community during this period of disruption.
