Condolences to London after Finsbury Park attack

Edinburgh’s Lord Provost Frank Ross has sent condolences to Mayor of London Sadiq Khan following last night’s attack at a mosque in Finsbury Park.

He said: “It is with a heavy heart that I find myself once again extending sincere condolences on behalf of the people of Edinburgh to the people of London. Last night’s tragic attack on worshippers at a Finsbury Park mosque was a cowardly and shocking act which police have described as an ‘attack on London’.

“Although Londoners have been truly tested these past few weeks and months, they have proved time and again that their strong sense of community and resilient spirit are an inspiring example to us all.”
